Compound Management Associate - Wilmington, DE
Responsibilities :
Operate and maintain liquid handling equipment to ensure precise and accurate processing. Managing and handling chemical compounds in a laboratory setting.
Optimize workflows for compound processing, including aliquoting, dispensing, and performing quality control checks. Maintaining wet and dry compounds
Manage the receipt, storage, tracking, and distribution of chemical and biological compounds, ensuring efficient operations.
Maintain an accurate, up-to-date compound inventory database, ensuring data integrity, accessibility, and compliance with internal systems.
Develop, implement, and enforce best practices for compound handling, storage, and organization. Continuously improve systems for compound registration, tracking, and retrieval, ensuring efficient operations.
Qualifications :
Associate degree with 2 years of experience, or a BS in chemistry, biology, or a related field, with experience in compound management or laboratory work in a pharmaceutical, biotech, CRO, or similar setting.
High school diploma with 3 years of relevant experience may also be considered.
Experience with automated liquid handling systems (e.g., Tecan, Beckman Coulter) is a plus.
Proficiency in molarity calculations and solution preparation, including pipetting, dilutions, and accurate math for small amounts of materials at the milligram level.
Knowledge of molarity conversion and other related techniques.
Strong self-motivation, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently as well as within a collaborative team environment.
Familiarity with electronic inventory systems is a plus.
Strong attention to detail and exceptional data management skills.
Knowledge of laboratory safety protocols and regulatory compliance standards.
