Job Title: Analytical Technician I (Entry-Level)
Position Summary
The Analytical R&D Team within our Agriscience customer in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a long-term contractor for an entry-level Analytical Technician I to support scientists in the execution of analytical method development, non-GLP and GLP method validations, and routine sample analysis. This position is ideal for candidates with a bachelor’s degree in chemistry and previous laboratory experience who are eager to grow their analytical chemistry skills in a collaborative research environment.
Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours/week
Shift: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
Contract: One year with extension potential

Key Responsibilities
- Support Analytical R&D scientists with sample weighing, preparation, and analysis of active ingredients, intermediates, impurities, formulations, and related materials for both qualitative and quantitative testing.
- Assist with non-GLP and GLP analytical method validation activities.
- Operate and learn advanced analytical instrumentation, including HPLC, GC, LC/GC-MS, and other laboratory equipment.
- Perform routine instrument maintenance and assist with troubleshooting equipment issues.
- Process analytical data and accurately document experiments and results while maintaining data quality and integrity.
- Collaborate effectively with scientists and cross-functional teams to support project timelines and changing priorities.
- Demonstrate the ability to work independently while contributing to a team-oriented environment.
- Maintain compliance with all customer policies and laboratory safety standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or a related scientific discipline.
- Previous laboratory experience through industry, internships, research, or academic laboratory coursework.
- Experience with one or more of the following analytical techniques:
- HPLC
- GC
- LC/GC-MS
- Karl Fischer
- Titration
- Comparable analytical instrumentation
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and adapt to changing business needs.
- Strong work ethic with a willingness to learn and develop new technical skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative laboratory environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong understanding of analytical chemistry principles.
- Experience supporting analytical method development or method validation activities.
- Familiarity with GLP documentation practices is a plus.
