Kelly Engineering has an outstanding CNC Maintenance Technician position with an expanding Medical Device company in Yorba Linda, CA
Pay Range: $35–$45 per hour
Shift: 1st Shift (6:00 AM–2:30 PM)
Type: Temp-to-Hire (4–6 months to convert)
About the Role
Join a high-precision manufacturing team supporting over 50 Swiss-style CNC machines. The role focuses on maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting advanced CNC equipment to minimize production downtime and maximize operational efficiency. You’ll work directly on Swiss CNC machines (Tornos, Citizen), and handle a broad range of technical tasks while adhering to strict safety and maintenance protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance and urgent/emergency repairs on Swiss-style CNC machines and support equipment, following established procedures.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical (including 24V systems), mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components (110V–480V).
- Diagnose/recover controls, drives, spindles, servos, and limit switches. Use electrical diagrams and technical manuals for advanced repairs.
- Support production and engineering teams to reduce downtime and keep machines at optimal precision.
- Follow all hazardous materials protocols and safety guidelines.
- Maintain clear and accurate documentation of maintenance activities.
- Support ongoing training and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- 2 years of CNC or automation maintenance, preferably with Swiss CNC machines (Tornos Deco, Citizen).
- Extensive experience in high-precision environments.
- Working knowledge of Fanuc and/or Mitsubishi controls.
- Able to read electrical diagrams and conduct 24V diagnostic work.
- Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, and root cause analysis for recurring issues.
- Comfortable working with hazardous materials per DOT/SOP regulations.
- High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade school training preferred.
