What are the responsibilities and job description for the Line Cook position at KELLY'S LANDING?
Kelly’s is hiring an experienced line cook.
Previous line cook, fry cook, prep or other back of house (BOH) experience is preferred. Most importantly, a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn. Must be able to work as a team, communicate and work efficiently in a very fast pace environment.
Being apart of the BOH you are responsible for food preparation that meets or exceeds service standards. Must be able to prepare/present food items according to the menu, recipes and the capability of creating daily specials.
Food Handlers certification or willingness to obtain.
Duties
- Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards
- Assist with menu planning to ensure variety, quality, and timely delivery of dishes
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including food handling and safety protocols
- Use knife skills and culinary techniques to ensure efficient meal preparation
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy hours
- Follow all food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures to uphold health standards
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a food industry setting is highly preferred
- Excellent knife skills and ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Understanding of food safety standards, including proper food handling and sanitation practices
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while maintaining attention to detail

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
