We are seeking an experienced MIG Welder / Fabricator to join our growing team. You'll fabricate custom structural steel components for pre-engineered building systems and industrial mezzanines. Every project is different, nothing is pulled from warehouse stock or built on a production line. You'll also be cross-trained throughout the shop, giving you the opportunity to build your skills instead of doing the same task all day.

What You’ll Do
- Welding and Fabrication: Perform MIG (GMAW) welding on custom structural steel components. Read blueprints and interpret weld symbols. Inspect and finish welds to quality standards using hand and power tools. Ensure proper fit-up and weld preparation before fabrication.
- Machine Operation and Equipment Use: Operate welding equipment, drills, punches, magnetic drill press, ironworker, and cutting torches. Safely use overhead cranes, forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment. Perform welding in flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead positions.
- Material Handling and Preparation: Unload, inspect, and stage raw materials for production. Cut steel plates and structural shapes as needed. Maintain organized inventory and work areas.
- Maintenance and Safety: Keep tools and equipment in safe working condition. Follow safety procedures and housekeeping standards. Report equipment issues or safety concerns promptly.
What You Have
- Knowledge: Prior experience as a Welder, MIG Welder, Fabricator, or similar role in a custom fabrication shop, steel fabrication, or similar environment.
- Skills: Ability to read and use conventional and precision measuring instruments. Willingness to work overtime and assist with other duties as assigned. Maintain flexibility, reliability, and teamwork attitude. Ability to read blueprints, interpret weld symbols, and perform MIG (GMAW) welding.
- Ability: All offers of employment are contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen and physical/strength screening. Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time. Ability to operate a variety of equipment and tools. Ability to lift 35 lbs from floor to waist.
