Kelly Generator & Equipment, Inc. (KGE) is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Inside Sales Representative to join our New Unit Sales team supporting our Maryland territory.

This is an opportunity to learn the commercial power generation industry while developing valuable skills in technical sales, customer relationships, equipment specifications, and project coordination.

Working alongside our Maryland Outside Sales Representatives and Sales Engineers, you will gain hands-on experience supporting new generator sales, coordinating customer requests, and preparing quotations for equipment rated 200kW and below.

No prior generator industry experience is required. We are looking for someone with strong communication skills, a willingness to learn, and an interest in growing within a technical sales environment.

What You'll Do

• Receive, review, and process customer Requests for Quotes (RFQs) for new generator units.
• Prepare  accurate and timely quotations for generator units rated 200kW and below.
• Coordinate with contractors to obtain missing information on specifications, drawings, and project requirements.
• Work closely with Maryland Outside Sales Representatives and Sales Engineers to support customer needs and larger sales opportunities.
• Enter and maintain sales opportunities and customer information in our CRM system.
• Respond to incoming calls and customer inquiries related to new unit sales.
• Develop knowledge of commercial power generation equipment, generator specifications, and industry applications.
• Support the continued growth of KGE's General Industrial brand.
• Collaborate with team members to support sales objectives and deliver excellent customer service.

What We're Looking For

• Currently  pursuing or recently completed a degree in Business, Sales & Marketing, Engineering Technology, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering,  Construction Management, or a related field.
• Strong  verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to learn technical concepts and interpret specifications and drawings.
• Comfortable working with computers, data entry, and CRM systems.
• Customer-focused mindset with an interest in sales and relationship building.
• Self-motivated, dependable, and eager to learn.

Education Requirements:

High school diploma and a minimum of 2 years of sales, marketing, or project coordination experience, OR a bachelor's degree in a related field. Current college students with relevant coursework and experience are encouraged to apply.

• Prolonged  periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds.
