What’s a typical day as a Manufacturing Operator? You’ll be:
- Operating a variety of machines, including engine lathes and barrel saws, to create precision parts according to specifications.
- Setting up machines, selecting appropriate cutting tools, and adjusting speeds and feeds for optimal results.
- Monitoring control instructions and maintaining the calibration of measuring tools within your area of responsibility.
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
- Have a minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating engine lathes and/or similar machine equipment.
- Possess the ability to read directions, job orders, prints, and specifications accurately.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of machining principles and safety procedures.
