We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Mechanical Engineer to join our engineering team in designing and integrating components for aircraft air conditioning systems. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent engineering graduate or an engineer with up to two years of experience to contribute to the design, development, testing, and improvement of mechanical systems and products.
The successful candidate will work alongside experienced engineers on projects from concept through production, gaining hands-on experience in product development, manufacturing support, testing, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the design and development of mechanical components, assemblies, and systems.
- Prepare and revise 3D CAD models, engineering drawings, and parts lists.
- Support engineering calculations, analysis, and component selection.
- Participate in prototype builds, testing, troubleshooting, and validation activities.
- Assist with product documentation, engineering change orders (ECOs), and technical reports.
- Support root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions.
- Ensure designs comply with applicable engineering standards and company specifications.
- Participate in continuous improvement and cost-reduction initiatives.
- Maintain accurate engineering documentation and project records.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from an accredited university.
- 0–2 years of engineering experience (internships and co-op experience are encouraged).
- Basic understanding of mechanical design principles and engineering fundamentals.
- Experience with 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, Creo, Inventor, or CATIA.
- Familiarity with engineering drawings and GD&T principles.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Preferred Qualifications
- Internship or co-op experience in manufacturing, aerospace, automotive, industrial equipment, HVAC, or related industries.
- Familiarity with finite element analysis (FEA) or computational analysis tools.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes including machining, sheet metal fabrication, welding, and assembly.
- Exposure to project management principles.
