Position: SQL Server DBA
Current Location: Scottsdale, AZ (Hybrid)
Duration: 3 Months
Our client, a large professional services firm located in Scottsdale, AZ, is looking to hire 3 experienced L3/L4 SQL DBAs for a 3-month hybrid contract role. The consultants will be expected to work onsite 3 days per week in the Scottsdale office. The consultant will handle day-to-day SQL management and maintenance duties. The ideal candidates will ensure database stability, optimal performance, and robust administration across both on-premises and cloud environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day MS SQL Server general administration and maintenance tasks.
- Perform database tuning and proactive troubleshooting to optimize performance.
- Oversee and support Always On Availability Groups (AOAG) configurations.
- Administer databases within Azure Managed Instance and IaaS SQL infrastructure.
Required Skills
- Deep expertise in MS SQL Server administration (current and supported versions).
- Strong proficiency in writing and optimizing Transact-SQL (T-SQL).
- Hands-on experience with AOAG, Azure Managed Instance, and IaaS SQL administration.
- Proven track record in complex database tuning and troubleshooting.
Desired Skills:
- Knowledge of PostgreSQL or CosmosDB.
- Familiarity with Azure Site Recovery (ASR).
