Job Title: ETL Developer/Business Liaison
Location: Boston, MA 02114
Duration: 12 Months (Contract)
Position Summary
The ETL Developer/Business Liaison will support the Client s major departments by designing, developing, and maintaining data integration and analytics solutions. This role serves as the primary point of contact between business units and IT, ensuring technical solutions align with business needs. Responsibilities span architecture participation, ETL development, testing support, production troubleshooting, and clear communication of IT impacts to stakeholders. This is a hybrid role requiring regular on-site work in Boston.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in defining application architecture and ensuring project alignment with technical standards
- Develop design artifacts, prototypes, and proof-of-concepts
- Deliver high-quality ETL code using Informatica IICS and Snowflake; support peer reviews and quality checks
- Create and maintain documentation for assigned modules
- Lead validation and testing activities, including functional, integration, system, and user acceptance
- Support creation and execution of Go Live plans and deployment activities
- Conduct root-cause analysis for post-implementation issues and contribute to remediation strategies
- Participate in knowledge transfers and create system appreciation documents
- Perform impact analysis on logged issues and support production activities per SLA requirements
- Lead data integration projects and mentor other team members
- Communicate IT changes effectively to business partners
- Serve as the bridge between business and IT, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and smooth delivery
Required Qualifications
- Must be located within commuting distance of Boston; hybrid schedule of 2 3 days per week in-office
- Bachelor s degree in a related field or equivalent experience (three years of experience may substitute for each year of education)
- Minimum 3 years of experience with Informatica IICS ETL
- Minimum 3 years of experience with Snowflake
- Experience with additional ETL tools (SSIS, ODI, CDATA)
- Strong SQL and Unix shell scripting experience
- Experience implementing end-to-end data warehouse and data mart solutions
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.; sponsorship is not available
Preferred Qualifications
- Snowflake certifications
- Strong understanding of data integration, data quality, and data architecture
- Experience with relational, dimensional, and unstructured data modeling
- Experience in Agile development environments
