What are the responsibilities and job description for the High School Principal position at Kelloggsville High School?
Kelloggsville Public Schools is seeking a strong, visionary leader in education and administration.
Education:
M.A. in Educational Leadership - School Admin Certificate required;
Three to five years of successful teaching experience required;
Administrative experience preferred;
Qualifications:
Knowledge of theory, research methods, and best practices in education;
Knowledge of age appropriate curriculum, research based instructional strategies and assessments;
Dedicated to educational excellence and success for all students;
Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively and relate positively with students, parents, staff and other members of the community;
Ability to relate and work effectively with parents, staff, students, and the public in a multicultural and multiracial community; Knowledge and awareness of own cultural identity and how this influences behavior, and desire to learn about the cultural identity of others; Ability to establish and nurture an environment that promotes cultural competence and equitable treatment of staff, students, and patrons of the District; Ability to recognize that each person is a unique individual even as we celebrate their group cultural heritage.
