What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Finance Manager position at Kellogg Staffing?
Overview
We are seeking a highly analytical and business-minded Senior Finance Manager to support both corporate finance and plant operations within a dynamic manufacturing environment. This role serves as a key bridge between finance and operations, driving performance, insights, and strategic decision-making across the organization. The ideal candidate brings experience working both at the corporate level and directly with plant leadership, and thrives as a true business partner rather than a back-office finance function.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner closely with plant managers and operational leaders to drive financial performance and accountability
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasting and budgeting processes across corporate and plant functions
- Analyze plant performance, KPIs, and operational metrics to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
- Provide actionable financial insights to improve efficiency, margins, and cost management
- Collaborate with corporate leadership on strategic planning and financial modeling
- Lead variance analysis (volume, mix, price, cost drivers) and communicate results to key stakeholders
- Support capital expenditure planning and ROI analysis for operational investments
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across finance and operations
- Ensure alignment between corporate financial goals and plant-level execution
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (MBA a plus)
- 6 years of progressive finance experience within manufacturing
- Experience supporting both corporate finance and plant operations
- Strong analytical and modeling skills (advanced Excel; experience with BI tools a plus)
- Demonstrated ability to act as a true business partner to operations leaders
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate financial data into operational insights
- Experience with ERP systems and financial planning and analysis tools
Why This Role
- High-impact position with direct exposure to both corporate leadership and plant operations
- Opportunity to influence real-time operational decisions, not just report results
- Collaborative environment where finance is viewed as a strategic partner
- Competitive compensation, strong benefits, and career growth potential
Ideal Candidate Snapshot
- Has worked on-site at a plant but also understands corporate finance strategy
- Naturally curious and proactive—asks “why” behind the numbers
- Comfortable challenging operations while maintaining strong relationships
- Not just reporting results—driving them
