Culinary Manager (Healthcare Setting)

Are you a passionate leader with a heart for hospitality and healthcare? We’re looking for a Culinary Manager to lead our dietary team and create a dining experience that truly enhances residents' lives.
In this role, you’ll oversee all aspects of our Culinary Department—ensuring high-quality meals, excellent service, and compliance with healthcare regulations—while building a strong, motivated team.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and manage daily operations of the Culinary Department
- Ensure meals are nutritious, appealing, and tailored to resident needs and preferences
- Collaborate with a Registered Dietitian to deliver high-quality nutritional care
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and company regulations
- Oversee food ordering, budgeting, and inventory management
- Supervise, train, and schedule culinary staff to ensure excellent service
- Conduct meal rounds and gather feedback from residents and families
- Ensure food safety, sanitation, and quality standards are consistently met
- Participate in surveys, audits, and performance improvement initiatives

Requirements:Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Degree in dietetic technology, dietetics, culinary arts, or foodservice management preferred.
Licenses/Certification
- Food Handlers permit if required per state regulations.
- ServSafe Food Safety Certification
- One or more of the following required:
- Certified Dietary Manager (CDM),
- Certified Food Protection Professional (CFPP) with the Dietary Manager’s Association
- Dietetic Technician, Registered, with the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the American Dietetic Association; or,
- Certification with the American Culinary Federation
- Valid driver’s license
Experience
- Two years’ experience in large quantity food preparation required.
- One year of experience in a supervisory role preferred
- Six months experience in a long-term care environment preferred.
- One year of experience with therapeutic diet preparation preferred.
- Company will pay for the right candidate to obtain any certifications that are preferred or required.
