Position Overview: As an Early Childhood Assistant Teacher, you will play a crucial role in shaping the early educational experiences of children under three years old. You will work closely with children, families, and other educators to create a warm, enriching environment that supports the developmental needs of each child.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide attentive and responsive care to infants and toddlers in accordance with their individual needs.
- Implement developmentally appropriate activities that promote cognitive, social, and emotional growth.
- Foster a nurturing and supportive environment, ensuring each child feels safe and valued.
- Communicate regularly with parents/guardians about their child’s progress and development.
- Observe and document children's developmental milestones and behaviors.
- Ensure a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment.
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Experience working with infants and toddlers in an educational or caregiving setting.
- A deep understanding of early childhood development and age-appropriate practices.
- Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
- First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Passion for nurturing young minds and fostering a positive, inclusive learning environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with infants and toddlers in a group care setting.
- Knowledge of current trends and best practices in early childhood education.
