Responsibilities
- Set up CNC machines by installing tools, fixtures, and programming parameters based on technical drawings and specifications
- Operate CNC equipment to produce parts with precision and consistency, adhering to quality standards
- Monitor machine operations throughout production runs, making adjustments as needed to optimize performance
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC machinery to minimize downtime and ensure safety compliance
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD (Computer-Aided Design) files to accurately produce parts
- Document production activities, including machine settings, measurements, and quality checks for traceability
- Collaborate with engineering and quality assurance teams to resolve manufacturing issues promptly and improve processes
Skills
- Proven experience operating CNC lathes, mills, or other computer-controlled machining equipment
- Strong understanding of machining principles, tooling setups, and calibration techniques
- Ability to read technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD files with precision
- Excellent problem-solving skills to troubleshoot machine issues quickly and efficiently
- Attention to detail in measuring parts using calipers, micrometers, and other inspection tools
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to machine operation and manufacturing environments
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced setting
