What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cook/Chocolate Maker position at Kellerhaus?
Do you want to work at the oldest candy and ice cream maker in NH? We are looking for full or part time positions. (full time positions include benefits)
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Candy Maker to join our team. As a Candy Maker, you will be responsible for creating delicious and visually appealing candies. This is an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary skills and creativity in the food industry.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook various types of candies, including hard candies, chocolates, caramels, and truffles
- Measure and mix ingredients according to recipes. Lifting and caring up to 30lbs of ingredients.
- Operate candy-making equipment, such as stoves, mixers, and molds
- Monitor cooking temperatures and adjust as needed
- Decorate candies using various techniques, such as dipping, drizzling, or piping
- Package finished candies in an attractive and hygienic manner
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the candy-making area
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient production
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a culinary or food production role, preferably in chocolate making, pastry, or restaurant settings
- Knowledge of candy-making techniques and recipes preferred
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes accurately
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards
- Excellent time management skills to meet production deadlines
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team
- Flexibility to work different shifts as needed
