Position Overview
The Email Marketing Specialist utilizes subject matter expertise to drive the operational engine and strategic execution of email campaigns for the Marketing Department. This position owns the technical construction and optimization of email workstreams and automated journeys, partnering strategically with the CRM & Email Customer Journey Marketing Specialist to leverage insights and refine multi-channel strategies that drive customer engagement, adoption, and retention.

Responsibilities
Operations
- Drives day-to-day operations for email marketing within HubSpot, ensuring all campaigns are deployed accurately and in accordance with established strategies
- Co-manages the email send calendar to ensure consistency in cadence, strategic audience segmentation, and list health
- Executes content strategies by authoring high-conversion email copy tailored to ensure all messaging aligns with brand standards and drives specific business KPIs
- Oversees the HubSpot template library, including the maintenance of email templates and functional modules to support scaled output
- Owns the creation and refinement of visual assets (Canva) to support the specific creative and visual requirements of email campaigns
- Owns the troubleshooting and resolution of urgent email campaign issues, utilizing critical thinking to implement real-time corrections and mitigation strategies for technical errors
- Evaluates and maintains technical guidelines and process documentation to ensure operational consistency and compliance with industry standards
Optimization
- Develops and executes a comprehensive testing roadmap (subject lines, CTA, layout) to continuously improve conversions, providing data-driven recommendations to refine the overarching email strategy
- Applies in-depth knowledge and technical guidance by analyzing and interpreting email performance data to provide actionable insights and present recommendations to leadership for growth
- Applies specialized knowledge to lead a rigorous Quality Assurance (QA) process, evaluating build accuracy, personalization tags, and rendering across a variety of email service providers
- Evaluates industry developments and technical trends to recommend optimization strategies for the email ecosystem and deliverability health
Other
- Provides guidance on cross-functional projects where specialized email marketing expertise is required to achieve business objectives
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree. Four (4) years of relevant education and work experience may be substituted for degree
- Minimum of three (3) years of specialized experience in email marketing or digital content production
- Proficiency in HubSpot, or similar email marketing tools
- Proficiency in email marketing fundamentals (deliverability, list health, compliance, testing, reporting)
- Proficiency in project management, stakeholder communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Polished and professional demeanor
- Well-versed in industry developments, techniques, and trends
