Quality Engineer

Keller delivers sophisticated manufacturing solutions for many industries including Engineered Materials, Semiconductors, Robotics, Chemicals, Medical and Life Science, Energy Research, and Industrial Technologies.

We are currently seeking to fill the following position for our Buffalo location.

QUALITY ENGINEER

The Quality Engineer will be responsible for working closely with Project Management, Manufacturing Management, and production employees to determine a manufacturing plan, mitigate risks, implement the plan, create standard work, improve the process, and determine root cause of issues.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Identify and communicate customer, regulatory and internal quality requirements. Facilitate the development of process flows, PFMEAs, and Control Plans in accordance with the identified requirements.
• Create and maintain documentation including work instructions, checklists, inspection plans, and any other required documentation according to the project needs.
• Create, review, and modify test and inspection procedures and plans prior to implementation.
• Facilitate and promote use of appropriate problem-solving techniques for effective root cause analysis and successful corrective action.
• Support and contribute to investigations of nonconformances found both internally and reported by customers. Take actions to assess the extent of the problem and contribute to remedial actions.
• Interact with other departments, customers, and suppliers as necessary for effective solutions to identified problems, corrective actions, and follow-up activities.
• Provide training and support to employees on quality concerns, customer complaints and application of quality methodologies.
• Facilitate improvement projects to improve project performance.
• Supports customer visits and audits.
• Work collaboratively with process owners to develop, improve, and refine processes. Assess effectiveness of change.
• Analyze manufacturing and quality data to identify trends and develop proactive actions to mitigate potential risks to products and customers.
• Any other task/activity assigned by Manager within the scope of the quality management system and Company needs.
  
  

Qualifications

Job Requirements

• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, related process controls, and inspection and test methods
• Experience in ISO 9001
• Experience in applying lean manufacturing techniques
• Experience in PFMEA methodology
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• High level of verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
• Working knowledge of MS office suite
• Ability to read and understand blueprints
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Quality, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering, or equivalent
• 5 years of experience in Quality Engineering, Quality Assurance, or a similar role
• Experience in Semi-conductor, Nuclear, Aerospace, and/or Defense Industries a plus
