Our Buffalo, NY facility boasts state-of-the-art large envelope 5 axis machining capability in an air conditioned, clean facility.
We are currently seeking to fill the following position for our Buffalo location.
Machine-Maintenance Mechanic
Responsibilities
• Provide basic preventive maintenance for CNC Machines, specifically 5 axis machine tools of the following types;
Kuraki – DMG MORI – Vision Wide – Parpas – and Manual Mills & Lathes (Advanced training will be provided as needed)
• Maintain a very high standard of cleanliness, organization, quality and safety culture.
• Work to a schedule to optimize machine performance and availability
• Prioritize unexpected machine repairs and communicate well with internal/external people to diagnosis, arrange parts/additional outside service as needed to get machine back running.
• Responsible for chip bin/dumpster/coolant maintenance/scheduling
• Repair/diagnose a variety of equipment in a manufacturing facility as needed. (cranes, fork lifts, lighting, equipment, plumbing, etc.)
• Maintain stock of maintenance materials as needed
• Responsible for overall shop cleanliness
Qualifications:
Qualifications and Education
• Must have experience troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues and know basics with coolant pumps, spindle motors, bearings, etc.
• Must be proficient with computer & internet skills to create, maintain and follow PM schedules, submit PO’s for vendors and more
• Must have good organizational skills to maintain detailed maintenance records, expense reports, ISO records and more
• Proven ability to read mechanical drawings and electrical schematics.
• Must be able to adapt to changs in schedules and priorities and work with all levels of management and outside agencies/vendors
• Available to be called in for down machine tools during off hours (weekends & 2nd shift)
• Must have a minimum of 5 years’ maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
• Must have some experience working on CNC and/or 5 axis machine tools
• Trade school or an Engineering degree preferred
• Willing to travel as required (infrequently) for training, trade shows, special jobs, etc.
Hourly pay range - $30 to $37
