- Evaluate behavioral issues for individuals in residential settings.
- Assist in developing and implementing individual behavior plans.
- Complete required documentation according to program regulations.
- Furnish data for psychiatric consults and provide counseling services.
- Develop and implement in-service training on behavior management for staff.
- Four-year degree in psychology or related field.
- Candidates with incomplete degree requirements must complete them within 18 months.
- 12 months experience working with individuals with disabilities.
- Certification as Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) is preferred.
- May involve exposure to blood, body fluids, or unpredictable situations.
- Ongoing physical demands include standing, walking, sitting, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality.
- Exercise tact, discretion, and judgment when working with others.
- Displays flexibility and openness in daily work.
