Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Painter to join our dynamic construction and renovation team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying paint, coatings, and finishes to various surfaces across residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping, and repairing drywall or plaster to ensure optimal paint adhesion.
• Apply paints, stains, varnishes, and other finishes using hand tools such as brushes, rollers, sprayers (including airless paint spraying), and power tools.
• Read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to determine project scope and specifications.
• Perform surface treatments like caulking, plastering, stucco application, masonry work, and fixture installation to achieve smooth finishes.
• Execute renovation projects involving demolition, framing, trim carpentry, restoration, and remodeling tasks.
• Use construction estimating skills to assess materials needed and plan work efficiently on-site.
• Maintain safety standards by using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and following OSHA guidelines during all phases of work.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in residential painting, commercial painting, or industrial painting with a solid understanding of construction site protocols.
• Knowledge of hand tools, power tools, scaffolding setup, and equipment such as airless sprayers.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately for precise project execution.
• Familiarity with construction estimating, basic math skills for measurements and calculations, and carpentry techniques including trim carpentry and frame carpentry.
• Experience with plastering, stucco application, masonry work, caulking, fixture installation, and concrete finishing is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of color theory for effective color matching and aesthetic results.
• Excellent attention to detail combined with good communication skills; handyman experience is a plus.
• Construction site experience including safety awareness and ability to work at heights or in confined spaces as needed.
