Job Description
We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Cost Accountant to join our team. This role combines financial analysis, cost accounting, and data-driven insights to support strategic business decisions and support our Finance team.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost optimization
- Develop and maintain cost models, budgeting frameworks, and forecasting tools
- Prepare detailed financial reports, dashboards, and performance metrics
- Assist with cost analysis including product costing, margin analysis, and variance analysis
- Collaborate with Finance team on general accounting duties, including month-end closing cycle
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data within systems and reports
- Support financial planning, pricing strategies, and profitability analysis
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (Master’s preferred)
- Proven experience in financial analysis and cost accounting
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets
- Proficiency in Excel, financial modeling, and data analysis tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, SQL)
- Knowledge of ERP systems and financial reporting tools
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Strong communication skills to present insights to stakeholders
Preferred Skills
- Experience in manufacturing, operations, or cost-intensive environments
- Advanced data analytics or automation experience
- Understanding of pricing strategies and cost optimization techniques
