Keith Country Day School seeks a dynamic, mission-driven fundraising professional as its Director of Development. The Director of Development is responsible for the development and implementation of fundraising activities at Keith Country Day School. Reporting to the Head(s) of School, the Director of Development will work to build a culture of philanthropy within the school and will establish robust connections with alumni, parents, donors and the community. The Director of Development will raise awareness about the school’s commitment to families, work, and outstanding results.
Responsibilities
- Work with Head of School and Board Fundraising Committee to develop, implement, and
execute a comprehensive fundraising strategy and timeline including long- and short-term
annual and planned giving components.
- Maintain relationships with a portfolio of 25-50 major donors, cultivating them toward
meaningful support of the school.
- Arrange, prepare for, and host visiting donors and prospects.
- Create and execute alumni engagement strategy to promote involvement and eventual support of school
- Serve on school’s administrative leadership team.
- Provide reports to Board and key constituencies.
- Create content and strategy for donor communication and relationship development.
- Plan and execute all development communications such as emails, newsletters, appeals, stewardship materials, and acknowledgement letters.
- Research new foundation and corporate giving prospects. Create and submit letters of inquiry and grant proposals, and the maintain data integrity to ensure accurate reporting and other grantee requirements.
- Actively participate in Keith School community.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required with a demonstrated track record of progressively responsible fundraising experience.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task and prioritize multiple projects.
Pay: $40,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
