Responsibilities
- Provide attentive supervision and care for infants, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
- Develop and implement age-appropriate activities that promote physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting classroom environment conducive to learning and exploration
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about their child’s progress, milestones, and any concerns
- Follow all mandated reporting laws to ensure child safety and compliance with licensing regulations
- Administer first aid or pediatric first aid as needed, responding promptly to any injuries or health issues
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan curriculum activities that support early childhood development standards
Experience
- Prior experience working with infants or in a daycare center setting is highly preferred
- Knowledge of child development instruction and behavior management techniques
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a strong plus
- Classroom management skills to create a positive learning environment
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with parents and team members
- Certification in first aid, CPR, and pediatric first aid is required or willing to obtain upon hire
- Familiarity with early childhood education principles, preschool experience, nannying or babysitting background are advantageous
