Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Dietary Aide to join our team. In this vital role, you will assist in preparing and serving nutritious meals, maintaining food safety standards, and supporting the dietary department’s daily operations. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help ensure our residents enjoy delicious, well-balanced meals in a warm and welcoming setting.
Duties
- Assist with meal preparation, food handling, and cooking to support the dietary team
- Serve meals to residents with professionalism and kindness, ensuring excellent food service experience
- Follow food safety protocols and proper sanitation procedures during food handling and meal preparation
- Help with menu planning under supervision, ensuring dietary needs are met for all residents
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and dining areas, including dishwashing and equipment sanitation
- Support catering events or special meal occasions as needed
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of meals and snacks
Experience
- Prior dietary department experience or food service background preferred
- Experience in a restaurant or culinary setting is advantageous
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques required
- Familiarity with menu planning, meal preparation, and cooking skills beneficial
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in food industry practices are a plus
- Previous experience working in fine dining or catering environments is desirable
- Excellent serving skills and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting
