- Perform specialized services such as hair threading, eyelash extensions, makeup application, and nail care to enhance client satisfaction.
- Maintain high standards of sanitation and cleanliness in all work areas, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Utilize salon software like WIX for appointment scheduling, client management, and retail sales tracking.
- Engage with clients through effective communication, understanding their preferences, offering professional advice on hair care and styling options.
- Upsell retail products such as hair care items and styling tools to boost sales and improve client results.
- Manage front desk responsibilities including client check-in/out, appointment confirmations, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere.
- Mentor junior team members or apprentices when applicable, sharing expertise in hair styling techniques and industry best practices.
Requirements
- Valid cosmetology or barbering, esthetician or nail technician license with experience working in the beauty industry.
- Proficiency with salon software systems like WIX for scheduling and client management.
- Skilled in various hair services including cutting with straight razors, coloring based on color theory principles, extensions application, and styling techniques.
- Knowledge of sanitation standards and proper sterilization procedures for tools such as scissors, combs, brushes, and implements.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clients about their needs and preferences.
- Experience in retail sales, upselling products, and managing retail math to meet sales goals.
- Familiarity with store management tasks including inventory control and maintaining a clean, organized workspace.
- Additional skills such as hair threading, eyelash extensions application, makeup artistry, nail care treatments, and front desk duties are considered assets.
