Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Assistant Operations Leader to join our team in a hybrid role that combines hands-on moving, driving, crew leadership, and operational support.
This is not an office-only position. The majority of this role is performed in the field, leading moving crews and executing jobs, while also supporting key operational functions behind the scenes.
In this role, you will help oversee daily operations, lead crews on residential and commercial moves, and assist in coordinating schedules, logistics, and overall job flow. Your leadership, organization, and commitment to customer service will directly impact the success of our operations.

Duties & ResponsibilitiesField Operations (Primary Focus)
- Drive company box trucks (20–26 ft, non-CDL) safely and efficiently
- Lead and coordinate moving crews on residential and commercial jobs
- Load and unload furniture and household goods using proper techniques
- Ensure all items are handled, packed, and transported safely to prevent damage
- Maintain job pacing, efficiency, and professionalism on-site
- Provide excellent customer service and represent the company at a high level
- Communicate with dispatch regarding job progress, delays, or issues
Operations Support (Secondary Responsibilities)
- Assist with scheduling, dispatching, and daily job coordination
- Help manage crew assignments and job flow
- Review job notes, paperwork, and operational details
- Communicate with customers and team members as needed
- Support general administrative and operational tasks
- Assist with maintaining organization in warehouse and equipment areas
Leadership Responsibilities
- Supervise and guide movers and helpers on job sites
- Reinforce safety procedures and company standards
- Assist with training and onboarding new team members
- Support the Operations Leader in maintaining smooth daily operations
- Step in to assist with operational decision-making when needed
Qualifications
- Previous experience in moving, delivery, or logistics (preferred)
- Experience driving box trucks or similar vehicles (strongly preferred)
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to lead a team and take control of a job site
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Physically capable of heavy lifting (100 lbs) and working in a fast-paced environment
- Organized, dependable, and detail-oriented
- Experience with warehouse equipment (dollies, hand trucks, pallet jacks, etc.) is a plus
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience is a plus
