Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning of floors, restrooms, offices, and common areas using appropriate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and vacuums.
• Handle chemical agents safely, following all chemical handling safety procedures to ensure a secure environment for yourself and others.
• Conduct sanitation procedures to maintain high standards of hygiene across all areas.
• Use manual handling techniques for heavy lifting tasks, adhering strictly to safe lifting practices to prevent injury.
• Operate various cleaning equipment including floor buffers, scrubbers, and steam cleaners to achieve optimal cleanliness.
• Maintain facilities by performing minor maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs or fixing fixtures when necessary.
• Follow safety protocols diligently during all cleaning activities to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing facility-related concerns promptly and professionally.
• Assist with custodial responsibilities in residential or commercial settings, including painting touch-ups or basic maintenance as needed.

Experience

• Prior janitorial or custodial experience is preferred but not required; we welcome motivated individuals eager to learn.
• Familiarity with cleaning techniques, sanitation standards, and the use of cleaning equipment is advantageous.
• Experience handling chemical agents safely and understanding chemical handling safety procedures is a plus.
• Previous work involving heavy lifting or manual handling demonstrates physical readiness for the role.
• Customer service experience helps in effectively communicating with facility users and team members.
• Knowledge of facilities maintenance or general custodial tasks enhances your ability to contribute effectively in this role.
