Bookkeeper/Tax Preparer

Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Bookkeeper / Tax Preparer to join our team. As a Bookkeeper / Tax Preparer, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and performing various accounting tasks preparing tax returns personal and business. The ideal candidate has a strong background in Tax accounting and is proficient in general ledger accounting, journal entries, and general ledger reconciliation.

Responsibilities:
- Perform day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, including recording financial transactions and maintaining the general ledger
- Prepare and post journal entries to ensure accurate financial reporting
- Reconcile general ledger accounts on a regular basis
- Payroll preparation and quarterly report filing
- Conduct regular analysis of financial data to identify discrepancies or trends
- Assist with the preparation of financial statements and reports
- Collaborate with internal teams to provide financial information and support as needed

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping principles
- Proficiency in using accounting software and MS Excel
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Solid understanding of Tax accounting procedures and regulations
- Familiarity with tax regulations and reporting requirements
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
