Digital Content Editor

KeenLogic is seeking a Digital Content Editor to join our team supporting the U.S. House of Representatives on Capitol Hill. This position will support the Office of the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), Customer Experience Center (CEC), and Customer Experience Management Directorate on an enterprise-wide initiative, as well as other CEC-related projects and activities.

Position Details

  • Anticipated Start: End of September 2026
  • Period of Performance: Through September 2027, with the possibility of extension
  • Schedule: 40 hours/week
  • Core Hours: Monday–Friday during standard business hours
  • Location: Onsite in Washington, DC

Description of Work

The candidate will serve as the Digital Content Editor on the HouseNet Program Team, reporting to the Customer Experience Management Director within the Chief Administrative Officer's (CAO) Center for Enterprise Customer (CEC). In this role, the candidate will support content creation, management, and revision for the House Intranet (HouseNet), as well as other applicable CAO and CEC projects.
Working in close collaboration with the HouseNet Content Lead, HouseNet Product Manager, and other members of the HouseNet Program Team, the candidate will also engage with the Customer Experience team, Communications & Marketing team, intranet technologists, the Intranet vendor (Interact), and service providers across the CAO and the House.
The Digital Content Editor will play a key role in enhancing and standardizing the CAO's customer service experience and digital service delivery platforms, particularly HouseNet. This position requires working in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary environment with CAO service providers, technology partners, system owners, and business units to develop, implement, and maintain accurate and effective content for Members and employees of the U.S. House of Representatives.

Candidate Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree plus 3 years of relevant work experience in web content writing, web editing, web content management, digital editing, or 4-5 years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience with large enterprise Content Management Systems (CMS) (e.g., Drupal, Joomla, WordPress, SharePoint).
  • Experience working on product development teams with developers, designers, stakeholders, and business owners.
  • Experience working on projects utilizing management methodologies from waterfall to agile/scrum and project management software (e.g., Jira, ClickUp, MS Project).
  • Experience in appropriately managing project documentation and meeting deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal); Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical colleagues and leaders.
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office 365 suite, including Teams and SharePoint.
  • Experience in web design, information architecture, user experience design, user interface design, or similar field.

Primary Duties/Responsibilities

  • Participate on Agile development team for the continuous management and development of digital products (Intranet and other service portals).
  • Work with project team leads on writing assignments, customer communications, and project documentation.
  • Follow content revision instructions and content style guidelines.
  • Partner with internal subject matter experts to draft, edit, and maintain content for the House Intranet, ensuring all content is current, accurate, consistent, easy to understand, and easily accessible to the House community.
  • Create content and write in a clear and concise manner on a wide range of topics, including financial services, information technology, legislative services, and more.
  • Track and complete assignments using project management software (ClickUp).
  • Collaborate and communicate with content POCs and SMEs on redrafted web pages as rewritten to adhere to service model standards.
  • Review and act as quality assurance editor for peers on the content project.
  • Directly support/participate in special limited term projects and initiatives as required.
  • Perform other official duties and special projects as assigned in support of CAO Service Design or Customer Experience initiatives.
