Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Batch Maker/Filler to join our production team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the manufacturing process, ensuring that products are mixed, blended, and packaged according to established specifications. This position requires a strong understanding of batch processing and adherence to quality standards, particularly in environments that follow CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices).
General Description:
The operation of multiple types of batch manufacturing equipment for weighing, blending, reacting, filtering, and filling chemical batch products.
Essential Job Functions:
- Participates in the daily production of a variety of paint and liquid based products, by following standard operating procedures.
- Filling, labeling, and stacking packaging.
- Operates plant equipment such as paint mixers, ball mills, media grinding equipment, and filling equipment.
- Ability to wear proper PPE on a daily basis as needed.
- Reads and follows standard batch processing procedures; receives and follows verbal and written instructions.
- Stages raw materials using scale or measurement devices for accurate mixing of proper quality and quantity to mixing blenders and as specified by batch process order.
- Monitors and makes necessary adjustments to batches as instructed.
- Accurately completes required process documentation.
- All other duties as assigned
Skills and Qualifications:
- Good communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Prior experience as Chemical Batch Compounder
- Basic Math skills
Educational Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to sit, stand, hear, and see on a constant basis.
- Must be able to walk, write, and type on a frequent basis.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to climb and descend stairs.
- Must be able to bend, carry, reach, push, and pull on an occasional basis.
- Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing.
- May work indoors and outdoors as needed. Exposure to heat up to 120 degrees and cold to 0 degrees.
- May work in areas where noise level is such that hearing protection is required.
- May work in areas where toxic, flammable, and hazardous materials are present.
- May be exposed to varying amounts of dust and dirt.
- Work surfaces may include concrete.
- Employee must be able to tolerate non-toxic paint odors and be able to wear a respirator as required.
- Employee must be able to operate a computer and communicate via telephone.
