What are the responsibilities and job description for the Architectural Project Manager position at KEE Architecture?
Job Title: Architectural Project Manager
About Us
KEE Architecture, Inc., is a design-driven architecture firm that takes both ideas and execution seriously. Our work spans commercial, residential, new construction, and adaptive reuse/historic preservation. We approach each project with equal parts rigor, curiosity, and pragmatism. We care about good design—but we also care about getting it built, and built well, for our Clients.
The Role
We’re looking for an Architectural Project Manager in our Madison office who can bring clarity and structure to complex projects without losing sight of the design intent. This role is for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple moving pieces across different project phases. You’ll play a key role in translating design into documentation and ultimately into construction—working closely with clients, consultants, and contractors along the way.
What You’ll Do
- Lead projects from early design through construction administration
- Manage multiple project timelines, budgets, and deliverables simultaneously
- Coordinate with internal teams and external consultants to maintain alignment and momentum
- Oversee the production of construction documents with a high level of precision and consistency
- Serve as a primary point of contact for clients and project partners
- Navigate construction phase services, including RFIs, submittals, and site coordination
- Identify potential issues early and keep projects moving forward with minimal friction
What You Bring
- Professional degree in Architecture (B.Arch or M.Arch required)
- 5 years of experience in architectural practice, including project management responsibilities, is preferred
- A strong understanding of how projects move from concept through construction
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- The ability to manage multiple deadlines without losing control of the finer points
- Clear, direct communication skills and a collaborative mindset
- Proficiency in Revit and other standard design/documentation tools
Bonus Points
- Licensure or actively working toward it
- Experience working across a range of project types or scales
- Comfort balancing design ambition with real-world constraints
Why This Role
We’re not looking for someone to just “keep projects on track.” We’re looking for someone who can bring structure to complexity, elevate the quality of our documentation, and help ensure that good design survives the realities of construction.

Compensation will be based on level of experience and is based on the AIA Compensation & Benefits Report.
