The Role
We are looking for an experienced Family Law Attorney to join our Phoenix team in a full-time, hybrid capacity. You will manage a meaningful caseload of family law matters from intake through resolution serving as both a trusted legal advocate and a steady, compassionate presence for clients navigating some of the most personal challenges of their lives.
What You'll Do
- Handle a diverse caseload including child custody, parenting time, relocation petitions, divorce, legal separation, and modification proceedings
- Draft and file motions, petitions, parenting plans, settlement agreements, decrees, and other legal documents in Maricopa County Superior Court
- Represent clients at hearings, trials, and evidentiary proceedings with confidence and preparation
- Prepare for and attend depositions, including witness examination and document review
- Advocate for clients in mediation and collaborative law settings, pursuing fair and durable resolutions
- Provide clear, empathetic legal counsel that helps clients understand their options and make informed decisions
- Maintain consistent, trust-building communication with clients throughout the lifecycle of their cases
- Manage case files, deadlines, and court calendars with precision and professionalism
What We're Looking For
- J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school and active Arizona State Bar membership in good standing
- 2 years of family law experience in Arizona courts, with hands-on exposure to custody, divorce, and/or relocation matters
- Proficiency in drafting and filing motions, pleadings, and family court documents
- Courtroom experience including hearings, evidentiary proceedings, and trial work
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, you can translate complex legal concepts into clear guidance for clients
- Strong negotiation instincts with a collaborative, solutions-oriented mindset
- Genuine empathy for clients experiencing high-stress family transitions
- Ability to manage cases independently while contributing positively to a small team environment
