A Quality CMM Technician ensures that materials and products meet quality checks before going on the market. They assess the condition of the products, from its raw material stage to being a completed product; ensuring that it is not damaged or have any defects. They use testing and measuring equipment to conduct these inspections.
JOB DUITIES AND TASK:
- Layer Process Audits (LPA)
- Dock Audits
- First Piece with Hand Held
- Equipment and Gages
- Layout Data on First Piece & Set-Ups
- Annual Validations
- New Production Layouts
- Nonconforming and Suspect Material
- Identification and Segregation
- Gage Calibrations
- Cut N Etch Data
- Material Rejections in System
- CMM Programming
- Gage Instructions for Production
- Torque, Tensile, and Push out Testing
- Balloon, Drawing and Correlate Layout Data (PPAP Documentation)
- Assist the Quality Engineer with Capabilities Studies
- Assist with R&R
REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma/GED
- Computer skills: knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- CMM operations and programming a must (PC DMIS software, a plus)
- Knowledge of Calipers, Micrometers and OC
- Basic knowledge of Gage Pack or equivalent
- Gage Calibration
- Attention to detail
- Drive to see opportunities to improve
- Understanding attribute gaging for fit and form
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.00 - $30.00 per hour
