Application Engineer-Automation and Drives
The KEB team is growing again! This position is for engineers who want to work directly with customers to solve problems, while gaining technical sales experience. This role involves the application of automation software, PLCs, Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), and AC motors to automated systems in collaboration with potential OEMs and system integrator customers. Additionally, you utilize technical sales experience by providing sales quotes and forecasts to our customers to further grow and expand our business.
This position may require some travel within the USA and Canada (up to 20% of the time but typically less than 10%).

Requirements
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 2-years experience in an Application Engineer or similar role
- Advanced level of understanding regarding ERP systems, industrial automation software, sizing of industrial automation products, Microsoft 365, and project management.
- Experience and technical knowledge of automated machinery or related electrical, mechanical, mechatronics.
- Experience and technical knowledge of variable frequency drives (VFDs), AC motors, PLCs, automation software
Engineering requirements of the job will include:
· Write relevant technical documentation & manuals
· Draft new product specifications and engineering work orders
· Visit customer sites for product start-ups
· Size, select, and recommend KEB products to customers
· Offer technical support and troubleshooting over the phone
Technical Sales requirements of the job will include:
· Provide excellent customer support
· Write relevant technical documentation & manuals
· Create product quotations
· Create sales presentations and other marketing material
· Share application knowledge through writing and speaking
· Provide product trainings in-house and at customer sites
