Job Summary
As an HVAC Installation Technician, you will ensure the safe, efficient, and expert installation of heating, cooling, and ventilation systems. Your work will directly uphold our reputation for excellence and build lasting trust within the Kansas City community.
Pay is based on experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver Superior Installations: Execute flawless replacements and new system installations with a focus on precision and longevity.
- Protect Client Homes: Maintain a clean workspace using floor savers and drop cloths. We respect the customer’s property as if it were our own.
- Prevent Callbacks: Utilize our Installation Excellence Checklist to re-check every job before departure. Attention to detail is non-negotiable.
- Educate Customers: Walk homeowners through their new system operations to ensure 100% satisfaction and confidence.
- Lead Safety & Efficiency: Prioritize safety for yourself and your team. Maintain high productivity, including efficient full-system changeouts.
- Represent the Brand: Keep company vehicles clean and organized; your truck is a reflection of our professional standards.
- Mentor Assistants: Train and develop installation helpers to foster team growth and independent technical skill.
- Administrative Excellence: Complete all installation paperwork and documentation accurately and promptly.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education - High School Diploma or equivalent
- Licensing - Valid Driver’s License (clean driving record)
- Certifications - EPA Certification required
- Experience - 2 years of residential HVAC installation preferred
- Compliance - Must pass a clean background check and commit to a drug-free workplace
Physical Demands & Work Environment
- Physical Ability: Must be able to perform heavy lifting (50–75 lbs), climb ladders, and work in confined spaces (attics/crawl spaces).
- Technical Skills: Comfortable operating power tools and consistently wearing appropriate PPE.
- Schedule: Ability to work 10–12 hour days during peak seasons as needed. Rotating on-call weeks.
- Conditions: Exposure to extreme temperatures, hazardous equipment, electricity, and loud noises. Work occurs in diverse settings including rooftops and outdoors.
