Responsibilities
- Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry data to detect arrhythmias or other cardiac abnormalities.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments accurately and safely.
- Assess patients’ health status through physical examinations and vital sign measurements.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement personalised care plans.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding treatment procedures and health management.
- Document patient information accurately in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
- Respond promptly to emergency situations, including code blue responses, ensuring patient safety at all times.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment in compliance with infection control standards.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Registered Nurse within a hospital setting, preferably with a focus on telemetry or cardiology units.
- Strong knowledge of human anatomy, especially cardiovascular systems, is essential.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret telemetry data accurately.
- Excellent patient care skills combined with compassionate communication abilities.
- Relevant nursing qualifications recognised by the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
- Prior experience working within a fast-paced healthcare environment is desirable but not essential for newly qualified nurses demonstrating strong clinical competence.
