Kearney Realty & Development Group, Inc. is seeking an experienced and driven Regional Property Manager to oversee a portfolio of communities, a major of which are financed under the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) program. This position is responsible for the financial performance, operations, compliance, and overall success of a multi-site portfolio throughout the Hudson Valley region.
The ideal candidate is a strong leader and effective manager with a deep knowledge of LIHTC guidelines, proven operational expertise and the ability to oversee and mentor on-site property management teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day operation of a portfolio of approximately 800-1,000 units
- Supervise and support Property Managers and site maintenance teams
- Conduct regular site visits to ensure operational excellence and physical asset quality
- Develop and manage annual budgets in collaboration with ownership and accounting team
- Monitor property financials, including NOI, occupancy, arrears and expense control
- Review monthly financial reports and implement corrective actions as needed
- Assist in the recruitment, training and mentoring of Property Managers
- Conduct performance evaluations and implement improvement plans
- Foster a culture of accountability and professionalism
- Ensure consistency in policies, procedures and best practices across the portfolio
Qualifications
- 5 years of property management experience, including multi-site supervision
- 2 years as a Regional Manager or Senior Property Manager (preferred)
- Strong experience with LIHTC compliance and regulations (required)
- Excellent leadership, communication and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Yardi (preferred)
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel regularly with the region
