QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education: Minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent.
- Verified experience with skills that include:
- Strong secretarial, organizational and accuracy skills
- Above average skills with math and the operation of a ten key calculator
- Accounting skills including the preparation of purchase orders,
- and working closely with the district’s financial personnel
- Strong data entry and computer skills including Google docs and sheets, Synergy, Nutrikids and Web site content management.
- Prioritizes, organizes and multi-tasks appropriate to the situation.
- Excellent people skills, meeting and greeting visitors, administrators, contractors, vendors and patrons.
- Must be able to coordinate with other staff members to accomplish tasks in a timely manner.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: (Include, but are not limited to)
- Answer questions from parents regarding their student’s Bearcat Diner Account.
- Take payments from students and parents as needed.
- Write receipts for all cash received for lunch accounts and for checks when requested.
- Know how to enter cash, checking and debit or credit card payments into the Lunch Account Program as they are received, and prepare deposits, to back up to the primary account manager.
- Answer questions Bearcat Diner staff have regarding a Student or Family Lunch Account as necessary.
- .Know how to process Free or Reduced meal applications.
- Back up student account functions as necessary.
- Answer telephone and take messages or transfer calls to Bearcat Diner Staff
- Maintain Buy American records monthly in the Google spreadsheet.
- Maintain and create requisitions and PO’s for BCD purchases.
- Enter all invoices for purchases onto Vendor google spreadsheets.
- Verify all invoice numbers and money for each vendor at month-end, enter totals on spreadsheet, along with any miscellaneous invoices to be paid.
- Prepare monthly menus for the Website and schools using Nutrikids.
- Verify information within NutriKids, and send copies of production records and menus to managers in a timely manner.
- Record catering events on monthly spreadsheets, invoice contact person for the catering as soon as possible after the event, and log all payments received for catering.
- Maintain an inventory of office supplies and send out supplies to kitchen managers as needed.
- Prepare copies of all forms needed for each school for the school year.
- Continual learning of menu guidelines for reimbursable meals to be able to answer questions from parents or students and explain how school meals work.
- Keep the storeroom organized and up to date with record disposal.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Food Service.
