The expected salary range for this position is between $103,000 and $180,000. This range is representative of base pay only and does not include straight time pay for hours worked over 40 per week, company contributions towards paid benefits, and/or bonuses. Actual compensation (meeting or exceeding the range) will be determined based on specific experience, education, work location, clearance level, and other factors permitted by law. This position is eligible for bonuses (when applicable).

Responsibilities:
Kearney and Company is seeking a Senior Financial Accountant/Auditor to join the team! This position will be responsible for performing key financial management functions, including financial reporting, financial operations, internal controls, and risk management, while supporting compliance with federal financial regulations. This role supports annual A-123 assessments, the evaluation and documentation of internal controls, the identification of control weaknesses and corrective actions, and provides expert analysis and advisory services related to financial audits and regulatory compliance.
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
  • BA/BS degree from an accredited college/university
  • Minimum 10 years experience with financial reporting, knowledge and application of GAAP, audit/assurance, internal controls and risk management, expertise in compliance with OMB Circular A-123 and the Federal Managers’ Financial Integrity Act (FMFIA)
  • Experience performing the A-123 assessment lifecycle to include planning, performing TOD/TOE, deficiency reporting, and CAP assessment
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance (requires U.S. citizenship)
  • Ability to effectively communicate via written and verbal interactions
  • Experience developing, formulating and maintaining policy and procedures
  • Experience generating monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports
  • Experience supporting consolidated financial statement audits, including responding to auditor requests and evaluating supporting documentation and financial data
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial regulations and apply them to operational processes
  • Strong technical writing skills, with the ability to produce clear, well-organized audit and assessment documentation

  • Ability to work independently and produce high quality deliverables with minimal errors or rework
  • Utilize technology to share knowledge with team members, develop skills, and continually learn
