Operations Specialist

Position Overview:

Keane Thummel Trucking, Inc. has an excellent opportunity for an outstanding individual to join our team as an Operations Specialist. You will be involved with Driver Management, Customer Planning, New Business, and Day to Day Operations. We are seeking a self-motivated, forward thinking, and experienced individual to work in a fast-paced and high energy environment.

Position:

Operations Specialist - Dry Van Division

Responsibilities:

· Manage a group of professional truck drivers.
· Communicate with current customers regarding their daily needs and create action plan to ensure needs are met.
· Develop strong relationships with drivers and customers.
· Oversee freight scheduling and planning to maximize fleet utilization and service.
· Communicate effectively with maintenance and safety departments.
· Administer and negotiate broker and carrier transportation agreements.
· Ensure safe, consistent, timely and profitable operations.

Requirements:

· Strong communication, planning and negotiating skills
· Basic computer skills and strong organizational skills needed
· Experience in the trucking industry a plus
· General management experience with emphasis on customer relations, staffing, organizing, supervising, and communicating is helpful
· Strong multi-tasking skills required in a fast-paced environment
· Self-motivated by daily challenges

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
