Role Description The Project Superintendent is a full-time, on-site role based in Billings, MT, responsible for overseeing day-to-day construction activities on assigned projects. This role includes managing field operations, coordinating subcontractors and crews, and ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, and within budget. The Project Superintendent monitors site progress, performs quality checks, and resolves issues that arise during construction. Additional responsibilities include enforcing safety standards, maintaining project documentation, communicating with project managers and clients, and supporting the successful completion of earthwork and pre-engineered metal building projects.
Qualifications
- Strong Supervisory Skills, including leading field crews, coordinating subcontractors, and managing daily site activities.
- Experience in Commercial Construction, particularly in earthwork, site preparation, and pre-engineered metal building projects.
- Demonstrated ability in Quality Control to ensure work meets plans, specifications, and company standards.
- Knowledge of Construction Safety practices, regulations, and the ability to enforce safety protocols on job sites.
- Budgeting skills to help manage project costs, track resources, and support schedule and cost control.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project documents.
- Effective communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collaborate with project managers, clients, and team members.
- Previous experience as a superintendent or foreperson in construction; experience with earthwork or metal buildings is highly beneficial.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical training or construction-related education is a plus.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to work on-site in varying weather and field conditions.
