As a Press Helper, you will be on the front lines of producing high-quality labels for our customers. Our Press Helpers are critical in preparing print jobs and keeping our presses running. This is an excellent position to start a successful career in print!
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Perform routine operations related to Plate Mounting –including but not limited to lifting print cylinders that weigh up to 25lbs and mount plate on to print cylinder using precision
- Capable of working in a fast paced environment
- Plan ahead, preparing for the next job
- Wash plates from completed jobs using plate washer
- Peel sticky back off cylinders
- Stock area with supplies needed – alcohol, soap, etc.
- Read and understand measurements down to .0625”
- Must have the ability to understand direction from group leaders and other technician level employees
- Must demonstrate a good safety record
- Maintains a clean and orderly work environment
Qualification:
- Ability to handle physical workload on average 10lbs, maximum weight 25lbs
- Mathematical Development: Basic math skills needed, able to read a ruler
- Good close-up vision recommended
