POSITION OVERVIEW
A large, growing wholesale distribution company is seeking an experienced Senior Buyer to join its purchasing team in the New York City Metro Area.
This is a hands-on buying position for someone who can step in and immediately take ownership of multiple product lines and independently manage the purchasing process.
The Senior Buyer will be responsible for determining purchasing needs, managing purchase orders, negotiating with vendors, monitoring inventory availability, resolving supply issues, managing costs and supporting the sales organization.
The ideal candidate will have significant buying experience within plumbing supply or a closely related wholesale distribution environment.
This is not a department head position, but there is upward growth opportunity. The company is looking for an experienced Buyer who enjoys personally managing products, vendors, inventory and purchasing decisions and wants meaningful ownership within an established team.

Primarily onsite.
