🚀 We’re Hiring: Fractional CFO / Controller (Part-Time, 1099) – Construction Industry
Are you a hands-on finance leader who can think strategically and execute operationally? We’re looking for a Fractional CFO / Controller to support multiple clients in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
💼 About the Role
This is a client-facing leadership role combining financial strategy with execution. You’ll guide decision-making, improve processes, and bring clarity to financial operations across multiple engagements.
🔍 Key Responsibilities
• Lead monthly close processes and deliver clear, actionable financial reporting KPIs
• Onboard new clients, including system access and initial cleanup of financials
• Analyze financial performance and provide strategic insights to leadership
• Prepare and review work-in-progress (WIP) schedules to drive job profitability
• Identify and implement process improvements, including system and ERP integrations
• Partner with clients monthly to review financials and support strategic initiatives
• Support ad hoc projects (budgeting, cash flow forecasting, system implementations, clean-up work)
✅ Qualifications
• Proven experience as a CFO, Controller, or senior finance leader
• Strong background in client advisory, month-end close, and WIP reporting
• Construction industry experience required
• Ability to operate independently and manage multiple clients
• CPA, MBA, or equivalent experience preferred
🛠️ Systems Experience
Foundation, Sage Intacct, QuickBooks (Desktop & Online), NetSuite, and platform integrations

• Type: 1099 Independent Contractor
• Schedule: Part-time, flexible, output-focused
• Location: Remote (U.S.-based)
• Ongoing engagement with defined client-facing hours
