Duties
- Safely operate a Class A commercial motor vehicle to deliver products along designated routes, adhering strictly to DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safety standards.
- Load, unload, and secure merchandise using proper lifting practices, including heavy lifting when necessary, ensuring products are transported without damage.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after trips, reporting any maintenance issues promptly to maintain optimal safety and performance.
- Build strong relationships with retail store staff and clients through professional communication, addressing their needs with courtesy and efficiency.
- Utilize organizational skills to plan efficient routes, manage delivery schedules, and document all deliveries accurately.
- Maintain compliance with all safety protocols, including safe lifting practices and proper automobile transportation procedures.
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial truck driving with a valid Class A CDL license.
- Strong knowledge of route driving, merchandising, and retail store operations.
