What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Worker position at KDMK?
Position is for 3rd Shift hours 11p.m. to 7a.m. (7.5 hours work a night) 6 days a week, Monday thru Saturday.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Assembles automotive parts in the required cycle time.
2. Reports defects and any other issues to team leader in a prompt and polite manner
3. Works any assigned shift and overtime as required.
4. Follows safe work procedures and wears personal protective equipment as required
5. Performs visual inspections and finger-point checks to assure quality parts
6. Performs 5S activities daily in the work area
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performs other duties as needed, including specific tasks based on special projects
- May participate in group activities, such as Safety Task Force Teams, Quality Circles, etc.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: (Skills, Abilities, Training/Education, and Experience)
- High School diploma or GED or Work Keys Test Preferred
- Ability to read and comprehend documents, such as safety rules, operating procedures
- Ability to understand and follow verbal instructions
- Ability to pay attention to a high level of detail to assure quality parts
- Must have at least 6 months of manufacturing experience, or have 1 year of sustainable employment with a company.
