Position: Regulatory Affairs Specialist
Reports to: Director of Regulatory
Department: Regulatory (R&D)
Supervises: No direct reports
Basic Function:
This position is responsible for overseeing regulatory compliance, monitoring, and execution including both internal and external communications.
Responsibilities:
- Regulatory Specific Tasks.
- Manage raw materials in database inclusive of regulatory restrictions.
- Review raw materials and formulas for compliance with regulatory and customer restrictions.
- Manage and respond to customer inquiries.
- Document Control.
- Issue formula documentation – Ingredient Lists, Quantitative Ingredient Lists, Qualitative and Quantitative Formula, customer-specific statements, etc.
- Prepare product information file (dossier) for formulas for customers inclusive of formula and raw material information as required.
- Miscellaneous Responsibilities.
- Assists with development and implementation of system related projects and protocols to improve efficiency and effectiveness of new and current systems.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Must be able to interact and communicate effectively with internal and external customers to provide information and resolve issues.
- Strong English oral & written communication skills.
- Knowledge of computer programs (e.g. Excel, Word, Visio, Optiva/PLM systems).
- Ability to work on a variety of simultaneous projects to meet established timelines while maintaining appropriate prioritization.
- Must be extremely detail oriented, organized, and able to conduct research and investigations independently using self-learning to understand new concepts.
Qualifications
- College degree in chemistry or life sciences, and/or a combination of education and experience in cosmetics or related (FDA regulated) industry preferred (not required).
- Experience with cosmetics/ personal care formulas and raw materials.
- 2-5 years of experience.

Salary : $65,000 - $73,000
