Manufacture a high quality intermediate and bulk product using process equipment available in a safe and cost-effective manner.
Key Responsibilities/ Accountabilities
- Understand the operation, methods, and all techniques used in the manufacture of chemical products.
- Sanitize and assist in preparations for product making.
- Blend batches with assistance as needed.
- Able to identify the correct raw materials for batches.
- Pass forklift certification.
- Wear provided safety equipment, i.e., dust mask, respirators, gloves, etc., when handling raw materials in areas subject to odors, fumes and high temperatures.
- Follow established safety procedures and exercise good safety practices to prevent accidents to self, others and facilities.
- Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean, orderly fashion.
- Communicate promptly and openly to Compounding Leads all operational and personnel problems.
- Execute special assignments as directed by the Compounding Leads.
- Handle all chemicals in accordance with State and local regulations.
- Handle hazardous chemical small quantity spills and clean-up using proper safety equipment and materials per SDS or Emergency Coordinator’s instructions.
- Maintain surveillance of your limited access area in the facility to be sure only authorized individuals enter the area.
- Perform other duties as required and requested by Compounding Leads.
- Able to read and understand SDS.
- Can perform aseptic sampling of raw materials, intermediates and bulks.
- Utilize a computer for data entry including batch information, downtime tracking and tank status.
- Maintain accurate inventory by using scanner to document consumption of raw materials and components used during manufacturing.

Education / Certification / Qualifications / Experience
- High school diploma.HSED or equivalent experience.
- Basic math skills.
- Able to read, write and speak English language at the high school (12th Grade) level.
- Previous manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
- None.

- Reach above shoulders; climb or balance; and stop, kneel, crouch or crawl 1/3 to 2/3 of the time.
- Stand; and use hands to finger, handle or touch 2/3 and more of the time.
- Up to 10 pounds to be lifted or force to be exerted up to 1/3 of the time.
- Up to 25 pounds to be lifted or force to be exerted up to 1/3 of the time.
- Up to 100 pounds to be lifted or force to be exerted up to 1/3 of the time.

- Lifting hoses above shoulders approximately 25 pounds.
- Lifting bags up to 100 pounds to waist level.
