Inspector - QC Incoming-Chemaid Lab/QC Day Hourly Indirect

Position:  Quality Control Line Inspector

Department: Quality Control

Reporting Structure: Quality Assurance Manager/ Director, Quality Control/Quality Assurance

Reporting to this Position: No Direct Reports

BASIC FUNCTION

Performs final quality inspection of in process and finished products in accordance with established procedures.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Records variables and attributes data assuring data is in range specification.
• Performs Quality Line checks at pre-determined time intervals, and records all pertinent data in company established formats by using the quality control mobile stations provided.
• Visually compares product/packaging to standard provided by customer.
• Immediately notifies supervision of any discrepancies found during line inspection checks.
• Pulls and logs line samples for retain, lab and customer.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

• Science Math Aptitude/ Strong Analytical skills
• Ability to work independently, self-motivated.
• Ability to exercise independent judgment and initiative.
• Basic Computer proficiency
• Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word.
• Must communicate effectively using Basic English communication and written skills.
• Time Management; the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum 1-3 years of industry related experience. A combination of vocational training, education and experience that is equivalent to the employment standards listed above and provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
